Hope Valley<\/h3>

Hope Valley says it all in the name! We worked the surrounding hills into this graphic view from one of our very favourite places, the trig point at Sheffield end of Stanage Edge. Ladybower, Derwent & Howden<\/h3>

The unique and distinctive shape of Ladybower, Derwent and Howden reservoirs was the first key reference point on my old Ordnance Servey map. From the forked limbs, I could find anywhere in the Dark Peak. Like many other people, these three reservoirs have become a familiar landmark through my life. I've cycled around the edge and up and the surrounding hills countless times; run marathons around them; my son's first big bike ride was around them - and his first big crash. We've dived off the Slippery Stones and carefully explored the muddy\u00a0remains of the drowned village as the waters have dropped.
